Below you'll find pictures of SCA-related mosaic pieces I've made. Mosaics in period were done only on architectural surfaces, like walls or floors. These mosaics are SCA-specific, and therefore not necessarily period. For a look at my modern, professional mosaics, visit Summer Tree Mosaics.

Classes taught about mosaics:

  • History of Mosaics (518K PDF): Mosaic is one of the most beautiful and most enduring art forms of all time. A wide range of materials and motifs were used for endless creative possibilities. We will cover the earliest pebble mosaics, later stone pieces and wind up with visually stunning Byzantine glass works. We'll touch on technique and methods as well.
